It's the moment we require before preforming any action. An instant that hundreds of thoughts go through our mind. A glance of time that a wave of emotions travel through our hearts. It takes all that before it even begins.
Then comes a choice, it is when the result of thoughts and emotions appear. The out come of the situation being balanced. Many external effects can change or alter the choice and based on them the action would be made.
The momentum of action... how long does it last? How far can it maintain its energy? Why does it fade faster then it gets to build it up? When can it reflect the true abilities we have?
As usual... many questions... with many answers...but again... the truth is out there ...

To Focus
What does it take to Focus? Is it an attempt to concentrate on a certain thing for a certain amount of time? Or is it an attempt to isolate yourself from everything else around you except that one thing you want to Focus on?
Is it a skill you learn? Or something you either have or don't? If it was a skill do you get taught or you learn on your own? If it's a matter of having it or not, is there some sort of test to verify it?
Focus; a great word I became fond of in the recent years; due to many different aspects that relate to it. I consider it quite intriguing and has a strong sound to it.
... You just have to Focus ...

What is a Dream?
Is it the passionate desire we have towards a goal we want to reach? Or is it an object of desire we run towards even though we know that we are far from touching it, perhaps it could be both.
What makes our choice of dreams though? Is it our childhood? Back in the days, where we were amused by the thoughts towards a great achievement. Or was it in the teenage years, when life starts to shape up and we begin to realize where our head and feet go?
Dream, a powerful word if utilized right. But how to utilize it right? Is it something we learn from a manual? From others? Or just something we grow to learn and there is never an ending to it.
Lots of people give up, forget, drop or dismiss their dreams with time. So what is the real motive behind keeping it going? It's definitely different from one dream to another. But eventually it falls into one reason. Would that reason be hope? Or could it be determination? The latter sounds more logical.
Dreams... a word that I value ... a word that affects me ... does everyone have a word that affects them... I wonder... but that is another question...

Good and Bad
I found this quite interesting, saw it at Tia's Blog and thought of create my own and see how it turns out. It is about the different positive and negative descriptions that can suit me per each indivisual. And as it grows it will show what is commonly known, what I think alone and what other think and I dont know and finally what none knows.
- Negatives: Nohari
- Positives: Johari
How this ends up should be interesting, basically you can choose 6 descriptions max that is all there is.

Do I know you?
I consider it a challenge to remember someones' name these days, we come across lots of people, each mention their first and last name with enthusiasm. I only mention mine if they asked or gave the "and you are?" expression. But trouble falls when they say suprised: "Don't you remember me?". At that point I would say something like: "I don't really remember names, but I usually remember the faces." Then I ask that person questions to link the face to the historical phase of which he/she has been connected with in my life. Eventually I do remember the person. But of course in most cases I wouldnt remember much details of who that person really is.
Almost a month back Something weird though could be logically understood in a way happened to me.
-This is a good time to grap a cup of tea/coffee-
On 1/1/2006, I got an sms from a random number, It was an invitation to a Milka*. It was from the groom, he mentioned his name -example Yusif- and said that he would be happy to see me at his milka! I was like "who is this guy!?" I couldnt remember him at all, but then i remembered oh! Yusif he must be that guy back from college, yes yes; it must be him! I saw him a year or 2 back and he did take my number. Oh! Mashallah he is getting married, wonderful. I must attend, inshallah!
Days went by, the big day came... I was there by prayer time -The milka is after the prayer-, everyone started to find a place to sit. I looked around hoping to see at least one of the other colleagues, but none so far. Then suddenly I saw this dude sitting near by; he looked familiar, oh! Yes he is my brothers friend! The place beside him was vacant so i moved ahead and sat beside him. I greeted him and he actually remembered me -Me as the brother of his friend-, then I asked him how does he know Yusif?? He said that they studied together. I was smiling, but then I stopped. Now Yusif was studying with me? How could be be studying with him?? Especially that Yusif is my age not elder! I asked him more and told him about my doubts. But he really knew who he was talking about. Then it stroke me! Perhaps this Yusif isnt who i think it is!
*A dramatic moment of silence*
Ok! So now I am in doubt! Who is this Yusif? I asked the dude more about Yusif and everything he told me didnt match who I thought he was. I thought, perhaps the dude continue his studies with this guy and did all the things this guy is saying. Let me wait and see.
Waiting and waiting, finally the groom arrived. He enters. Now seriously who on earth is this guy! He wasnt the Yusif I knew! But wait a minute. He looks familiar!! Yusif sat in his place I kept trying to remember where I remember that face from, then it clicked, Maybe he is that dude back from school! Now wasnt he my brothers' friend! He used to be in the same bus as ours, that is how I can remember, especially that he had a famous nickname as well.
I was totally puzzled, still not sure though if he was or wasnt my brothers' friend. The Imam started the milka and everything went smoothly. But my mind was going on and on of why I got that sms! Perhaps it was meant to be sent to my brother and the dude found the wrong number!? Either way, I am out of here. They started distributing the 7alwa* and Qahwa*, I felt it was just wrong to eat/drink when I am obviously wrongly invited. Besides my legs were getting really numb. I told the dude beside me, I am out of here. He tried to ask me to stay and saying it would be nice to share Yusifs' happiness. I told him something like "I am truely happy for him, but staying here just feels wrong now that I know i wasnt invited!".
The awkward part now is how to leave, I never saw anyone leave from a Milka before! But then I thought I really don't know anyone here, so who cares! And stood and just walked away, laughing at myself inside...
Just to add, once I got back home, I asked my brother about the guy and he confirmed that he does know him! So now it all makes sense, the wrong sms to the wrong guy... a familiar face with a familiar name... but in the end had nothing to do with me.

Milka: The ceremony, which takes place usually in the mosque -as in this case- all men attendies and it conducts the islamic marriage bond.
7alwa: The Omani 7alwa is some type of sweet dish, that is served for different occasions.
Qahwa: Coffee, -in this case- the Omani coffee.

Black or White and the shadow of Gray
Yes or No and the space of Maybe... Thought of this last week; I had a thought and can't quite find it now. It was lingering to a point that I created this post to remember it, but obviously that didnt work. Anyway, will attempt to resurrect any thoughts I can about it now.
Could there be a define answer to any question. Is there a Yes or No to any question. Did you every get in a situation that an absolute answer couldn't fit well, instead you had to refer to an answer in between?
To answer myself, definitely there has been many occasions. Is it the question that defines the answer or the question maker? Some can ask for either a yes or no answer, but what is the true reason for such a 50/50 question? Could it be predetermination to manipulate with the consequences of the answer, which every it was?
How often does Maybe fit in? Is it a way to avoid an absolute answer or just a technique used to avoid elaboration to an answer that doesn't want to be mentioned.
What defines the Gray area between the White and Black? Would it be the darkness or the light that doesnt fall on the reply.
A point, not everything could have an absolute answer. Not everyone can provide one. It could not be expected if we lacked knowledge, but it would be if we did.
What could fall under absolute? Faith?? I believe so... but again that will depend on how strong it is. Then how to measure it?? It might be not measureable. Or we do not obtain the knowledge enough to be aware of how it could be done. So in the end Maybe, we will someday...

Possibilities and Opportunities...
About almost every possibility is an opportunity. And every opportunity is a possibility. The typical for example: 1 + 2 = 3 or 2 + 1 = 3...
What is the catch? Perhaps it is back to the will to take a chance. Have a firm grip on the opportunity in hand; not let go of a successful possibility if the opportunity is well used.
Each day has 24 hours; if we set each hour as a milestone then it can be translated to 24 Opportunities. Each would have an unknown amount of possibilities. Possibilities to do what?
Possibilities to accomplish a task, advance or understand it. How often do we regret letting go of an opportunity, how often do we feel bad for not even checking the possibilities?
Might not even be regret; it wasn't in our hands to be lost. Perhaps we didnt even reach out to it. which is the true regret; the result from failure or from missing out an opportunity?
I believe the latter carries more weight.
What am I trying to say? Perhaps that we take lightly the Opportunities that crosses us everyday and with time possibilities keep decreasing. But again, everyday has a new set of Opportunities and possibilities.
So now what? To give it a little deeper thought. I believe that each opportunity is unique and that also each possibility is unique cause each can shape your path of life based on the choices you make.

Blog Personality...
| Your Blogging Type is Pensive and Philosophical |
You blog like no one else is reading... You tend to use your blog to explore ideas - often in long winded prose. Easy going and flexible, you tend to befriend other bloggers easily. But if they disagree with once too much, you'll pull them from your blogroll! |
Right, so that is what they think after asking 4 questions. Not bad, but definitely can't be very accurate because of that.

Time takes time...
Back again to the time idea, it's just another thought more like the initial thought, but it derived me into another one last time. The thought is: "time takes time"... We have many examples that surround us to assist in understanding this concept. Such as the miracle of pregnancy. Normally, it would take 9 months for a baby to be born. It's not just a number, its as simple as that is the required amount of time for the baby to totally develop and be prepared for the external world.
Time takes time... when we cook, it takes time to prepare the ingrediants, cut them, clean them and then start cooking them for a known amount of time, until it is ready to be served.
There could be many reasons of why, different things take different amount of time to be ready or done. But the main idea that I can conclude out of this is to appreciate these different things. To get the time to understand and grasp their importance or value in our lifes. If it took a baby only 3 months to see the light, would be appreciate this miracle less? Perhaps. If we can run in the speed of sound or fly, would we appreciate the inventions of cars and planes less? Perhaps.
Another thought is patience, with time we learn patience. And with patience we gain control of our surroundings, cause we can see them more clearily rather then always rushing into anything and everything.

The Stand After Each Fall
Through out our life, we come across many paths that we struggle to pass. We try to learn from each of those. Try to gain experience, weither conciously or unconciously. Sometimes we fall; at such times different people have different reactions on how to deal with such situations. Some fall in a pond of misery, some get determined to revenge back and some try to understand what happened and how to not let it happen again. Am sure there are other types of people, but that short list could suffice for now.
The concept am thinking of here is the "Stand after the fall", one of the main reaons that can assist us to stand each time is our very own "Survival Instinct". Despite of the other different reasons; such as will power, determination...etc.
To survive, we fight. Mentally, physically and even emotionally. We might fight with ourselves, other people and also perhaps with an imaginary enemy. We stand after each fall; to take another step forward, but it could also be backwards. Thats' determined by how we precieved our fall and to what extend we let it disturb our instinct.
